The club held a summer BBQ on 8th September. The gods were good to us with excellent weather, a lovely warm sunny day with blue skies and hardly any wind. Frank had mown the strip and pits which were in really good condition and Simon had done all of the planning and preparation for the BBQ, provided the tables and all the other work to make the event a success (many thanks to them both!). We had an excellent turnout with over 20 attending and many brought their families. It was great to welcome some prospective new members and the club instructors were kept busy giving anyone who wanted to ‘have a go’ the opportunity to do so. It was particularly good to have several youngsters expressing an interest in joining the club and having flights. Their inherent abilities were a pleasure to see! Roll on the next event.
