Our member Henry has taken 1st place at the IMAC Nationals at Buckminster! What a phenomenal achievement for one of our youngest members.
For those unfamiliar, IMAC aerobatics is all about flying model aircraft through precise, full‑size‑inspired aerobatic sequences. Pilots fly the Aresti pattern and are judged on accuracy, smoothness and presentation. It’s a discipline many top 3D pilots use to sharpen their flying and push their skills even further.
Henry entered the Basic class with just two weeks to learn the routine, flying his new PAU Slick 360 through a full weekend of scored manoeuvres, feedback and improvement. His commitment, attitude and talent shone through from start to finish.
From starting flying just 18 months ago, recently passing his B Cert, to winning his first major competition, this is a huge moment. The whole club is incredibly proud of you Henry. Onwards to the Southern Model Airshow and many more adventures ahead!
